Say: Puuth-ek-ar terl-kuk kuut-niny-uuk. Niiny-arr muuty-ity lahn-kah? War-ii-warng-uurr-ahng netball-ka.

Vowels: Standard - 'u' as in 'put', 'e' as in ‘pet’, 'a' as in 'path' or 'car', ‘i’ as in ‘hit. Variation - 'e' followed by 'l' or 'r' is 'e' as in 'fern'. Variation - when 'a' follows a 'w' and is followed by an  ‘ng’, or ‘r’ it is 'a' as in 'war'.

Consonant  - 'ty' (palatal stop) - combine 't' and 'y' while tip and blade of tongue touches hard palate and stops the breath. (Note: 'tch' is close but different to 'ty'.), - 'th' (dental plosive) combine 't' and 'h' with tongue right against the teeth (like 'd' in 'dad'), - 'ny' (palato-nasal) combine 'n' and 'y' while top of tongue touches hard palate plus nasal vibration. Conversation with a question.  Includes the verb ending 'ity' (possible action), 'angurrang' (we do the action but not the listener) and the noun ending 'ka' to indicate 'towards'. Also shows the transferring adverb 'ninya' (this one) with the transferred pronoun 'arr' (you - singular). 'arr' has been transferred from the noun 'mutyitykarr' (you could take) to leave 'mutyity'.

Build: Look up, write down and practice saying 'Grandma could you watch our dog please. We're walking to Aunty's house.'  Think of puletya new sentences where you should use 'angurrang'.
