'-tawa' is added to the end of nouns to show 'an action is happening along or beside it'.
Usage:
(Ed. see p74 WambaWamba Dictionary and Hercus: Victorian Languages a Late Survey; p.31. Hercus said that it 'follows the general oblique case'. That is, it has the same rules and works the same as, the general oblique case marker '(k)-a' which is added to end of nouns to show 'an action is happening towards it'.) For example: 'Kalipinangurr larnangurrakang Tamatyerri-tawa. (We packed up our camp beside Tamatyerri Creek.)

Vowels - Varations -  2nd 'a' following a 'w' can either be 'a' as in 'path' or 'a' as in 'war' (1st 'a'), first 'a' when 'a' is followed by a 'w' it is 'au' dipthong as in 'owl'.
