This word was cognate with Werkaya 'kutyap' and referred to a large piece of stone; the normal Wembawemba word for any stone was 'larr'. The term 'kuthap' is also quoted by Stone to mean 'oven' or 'midden', it was therefore presumably the word used for 'fire-stone', stone placed on a fire for heat-retention.
