Stone [meerwan], Green from Corranderk lists 'merwan' for Diuris pedunculata which has an edible root (Smyth 1878 II:71)

Accompanying image is 'Microseris lanceolata' (See page 713, Plants of Western New South Wales). Other common names for this plant are yam daisy, murrnong, black-fellow's yam. Locally 'mirrwan' might also have been used for the 'Wilcannia Lily' Calostemma purpureum (see p.190 PWNSW).
