Vowels: Standard - 'a' as in ‘path’ (1st & 3rd 'a'), Variation - ‘e’ followed by ‘l’ or ‘r’ is ‘e’ as in ‘fern’, 'a' is followed by 'y' and another vowel, especially ‘a’, it is pronounced 'ai' or 'i' as in 'ice'.
Consonant - 'y' is pronounced as a glide between 'ai' and 'ah' sounds.
